How to Edit a Pop-Up Once Activated

To edit your pop-up once it is activated, you will have to deactivate it to make any changes to configuration and design. Hover your mouse over the play icon and click. Confirm that you would like to deactivate the pop-up and then click on the edit button on the pop-up to make any changes.

Why don’t I see my pop-up every time I visit the site?

Our pop-ups use browser cookies to control how often they appear. Once a visitor sees the form, it won’t show again until the cookie expires—typically every 30 days. This helps avoid overloading users with repeated messages and follows SEO best practices.

However, if cookies are cleared, blocked, or the visitor switches to a different browser or device, the pop-up may appear again sooner than expected. Because cookies don’t sync across browsers or devices, someone who views the site on both their phone and computer will likely see the pop-up on each.

Why is the same person seeing the pop-up multiple times?

There are a few reasons this can happen:

  • Cookies were deleted or blocked: If the user clears their cookies or uses incognito/private browsing, the pop-up can reappear.

  • Different browsers or devices: Cookies don’t transfer between browsers or devices. If someone switches from their phone to laptop, the system treats them as a new visitor.

  • They’re not a current subscriber: Even if someone filled out the form before, they might see the pop-up again—but we won’t email them if they’re already subscribed.

How can I test my pop-up?

To test your pop-up:

  • Use an incognito or private browsing window. This prevents your previous cookie history from interfering.

  • Alternatively, clear cookies for your site from your browser settings.

  • If you’re testing across devices or browsers, remember that cookies don’t carry over—so each test will show the pop-up as if you're a new visitor.
