Using Dynamic Tags in Springbot Send Emails

Dynamic tags let you personalize emails by automatically inserting customer or store details, so each message feels custom.

Updated this week

💡 What Are Dynamic Tags?

Dynamic tags are placeholders that automatically pull in real data — like a customer’s first name, your store’s name, or your email address — when the message is sent. Instead of writing “Hi John,” you can use [[customer_first_name]], and it will display the right name for each recipient.

🔧 Where Can I Use Tags?

You can use dynamic tags in:

  • Individual email campaigns

  • Automated email flows

  • Subject lines

  • Preheader text

  • Body content

  • Footer/Content Blocks

They work wherever you're typing or editing text in the email builder.

🧰 How to Add Tags

You can insert tags in two ways:

  1. Inline Text Editor: Highlight text and use the tag dropdown to insert the correct dynamic tag.

  2. Copy & Paste: Type or paste the tag manually (e.g. [[customer_first_name]]) into your content, subject line, or preheader.

🏷️ Available Dynamic Tags

Here’s a list of the dynamic tags you can use in Springbot:

Tag

[[store_name]]

[[store_email]]

[[store_email_raw]]

[[store_url]]

Your store’s website URL (found in settings)

[[store_address]]

Your store’s full address (found in settings -required for can-spam)

[[unsubscribe]]

Required unsubscribe link (must be included in every email)

[[customer_full_name]]

The customer's full name

[[customer_first_name]]

The customer’s first name

[[customer_last_name]]

The customer’s last name

[[customer_email]]

The customer’s email address

[[logo]]

Inserts your store logo image directly into the email

[[logo_url]]

Returns the URL of your store’s logo (for use in image blocks or elsewhere)

📝 Tips for Best Use

  • Always test: Use the “Preview” and “Send Test” options to confirm your tags are pulling in correctly.

  • Include [[unsubscribe]] & in every email — it’s required for compliance and deliverability.

  • Fallback planning: If some contacts don’t have first names, consider a default like “Hi there,” rather than relying solely on a tag.
