Providing SSH or FTP Access

Springbot may also need FTP or SSH access to your store. We strongly recommend reaching out to your development / IT team to properly provide this access. You can follow the steps below to provide access on your own, but this will be much more easily be completed by a knowledgeable developer.

What is SSH and FTP?

  • SSH is a program for logging into a remote machine and for executing commands on a remote machine. It is intended to provide secure encrypted communications between two untrusted hosts over an insecure network.

  • FTP is a way to move files from one computer to another, or in the case of your hosting account, your computer to our hosting server.
