Before you can launch social Adroll ads, you must first Connect AdRoll to Facebook and Instagram. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to launch your social ads in Springbot.
Launching Your Ads For the First Time
Navigate to Ads > Dashboard and click the Create Ads button. If you are creating your first Adroll campaign, select the type of campaign, audience and ads you wish to run.
In this example, we are launching a Retargeting campaign with Static ads. Towards the bottom, you will want to...
Create a new Adgroup & give it a name (usually just named after the type of campaign)
Set your start date as today
Set your start time an hour out from when you're launching them
Check the box for no end date
Hit Select All for Social Ad Placement
After filling in that information simply hit Next and it will first take you to upload & create your web ads. However, if you only want to launch social ads, you can click on Static Social (or Dynamic Social, if that's the type of ads you're launching) in the black navigation bar at the top.
Static Social Ads
To create static social ads, upload as many images you wish in the following sizes: 600x315px or 1200x628px. Just like with web ads, images must be JPGs or PNGs, and must have a file size less than 150KB.
Static social ads require the following text elements:
Text Headline - 90 character max, usually short, attention-grabbing headline for your ad
Link Description - 200 character max - an opportunity to explain more about your brand or offer details
Title - 25 character max -store name or secondary headline
Call-to-action - select from the dropdown menu options
Dynamic Social Ads
Like dynamic web ads, dynamic social ads show the exact products the visitor viewed on your site (for a Retargeting campaign) or they show your top selling and top viewed products in a carousel-style ad on Facebook.
To create dynamic social ads, you must upload a Failover image to show just in case your dynamic content cannot load. We recommend using the same images you would use for a static social ad. Failover image must be 600x315px or 1200x628px, must be JPGs or PNGs, and must have a file size less than 150KB.
Dynamic social ads also require the following text elements:
Text Headline - 90 character max, usually short, attention-grabbing headline for your ad
Title - %%title%% by default, pulls in Product Name
Description - %%price%% by default, pulls in Product Price
Call-to-action - select from the dropdown menu options
Your final option is to choose between a multi-product ad and a single-product ad.
Uploading Social Ads Into An Existing Campaign
Uploading a new social ad into an existing campaign is easy! Before creating new ads, you will want to identify what type of campaign, audience and ads you're currently running - which you can easily do following these instructions.
Once you have that information, simply navigate to Ads < Dashboard < Create Ads. From there, fill in your campaign information & click the Group For Ads dropdown. You'll want to choose the adgroup that already exists rather than creating a new one.
All the presets should already be inputted - so no need to change those. Hit Next and it will first take you to upload/create your web ads. However, if you only want to launch social ads, you can click on Static Social (or Dynamic Social, if that's the type of ads you're launching) in the black navigation bar at the top.
