Create a New List

Navigate to Campaigns > Lists.

To create a new list, type the name of your new list into the blank field and click Create List. Your newly-created list will then appear below along with your other lists.

Next, click into the name of your new list to add emails. On the next page, click Add emails in the top right.

Here you'll see that there are 4 different ways for adding contacts to your email list:

Please note if you're on WooCommerce: There is the option on your checkout page to collect email subscribers that will sync to Springbot’s email lists. For this option please update your WooCommerce to the latest Springbot plugin version 1.0.0 at

By default, when the Springbot plugin is enabled & connected, a checkbox will appear at the bottom of your checkout page. This feature is enabled by default, but if you need to turn it off, you can navigate to Woocommerce > Settings > Springbot tab to toggle on and off.

Manual Entry

Here you can manually add subscribers one-by-one by entering their email, first name and last name. If you only know their email address but not their name, you can leave the first and last name sections blank.

When you're finished, click Submit.

Upload CSV

If you already have a list of many subscribers, you can upload them all at once. Please note that your CSV must be properly formatted before it can be uploaded (see example screenshot below).

We only need their Email, First Name, and Last Name so if your file has other information, it will need to be removed prior to uploading.

When you're finished, click Submit.

Import via API

If you were previously using MailChimp or Constant Contact, you have the ability to import your previously created lists directly from your provider to Springbot via our integration with their API. This is recommended since it allows Springbot to gather engagement metrics from your previous provider to help us understand your currently engaged vs non-engaged subscribers.

Click "Select a provider" on the right to choose your provider. This will automatically sync the lists you selected when you first connected your MailChimp / Constant Contact account to Springbot (more info here).

When you're finished, click Submit.

If you'd like to create a list based on a specific segment you have created in Springbot, you can choose to add everyone in the segment to your list. Note -- depending on how the segment is built, some people in the segment may not have directly opted-in to your email list, so be cautious when choosing this option as this will add them to your list even if they have not opted-in.

When you're finished, click Submit.

Confirming Authorization to Add Subscribers to your Email List

Whenever you add a new subscriber to a list, you will need to check this box before clicking Submit. This means that you are confirming that everyone being added to your list has explicitly given you permission to email them. Springbot does not allow purchased or rented lists. If you have questions, you can refer to our company terms of use and privacy policy for more details.

What about my contacts who have previously unsubscribed from my email list?

You'll want to upload these contacts separately so we continue to respect their preferences and they remain unsubscribed.
